East Coast Salon Services roots began in 1944 with Stanley H. Kletkewicz and his partners running a small distribution shop attached to Maison de Paris – the first beauty school in NJ. Garden State Beauty supply, as it was then called, had only two desks and one station wagon and serviced only NJ salons.

As fall approaches, the fashion and beauty industry titillates with expectant change - impatiently waiting to embrace the bold hues and decadent textures that the end of the year ushers in. This year, it seems, bold is in the pigment. “Power Red” is being widely celebrated by fashion icons from New York to Milan and more. For those of us that love this bright and pungent color, the news couldn’t be more welcome.

As a family business with more than 70 years in the industry, our company history is deeply rooted in family history. With three generations of the Klet family actively working in various aspects of the company today, we at East Coast Salon Services find immense value in honoring the roots from which that family tree extends. That being said, today we recognize and celebrate almost six decades of marriage between our founder, Stan Klet and (the real boss) his beautiful wife, Cora.
